 TOPIC: Eastern front influence 

       My report is about Eastern front , and this topic I think is difficult , because all information I search and book is about battle is war process , and it is hard to understand west front influence , maybe is my knowledge or information is too limited that I have no idea in my brain , but still , I will try my best .All information is read by STRATEGY , Battle of Kursk , wiki ,Operation Barbarossa . 

        I talk all influence factor in single battle , maybe a single battle can include field so many , because. War need to think overall thing which will influence victory or defeated , all military operation and every step must for win. 

1.defending Stalingrad

        First ,I talk battle influence . I very like Armored warfare , Battle of Kursk , this war is a gamble to German , because the Defending Stalingrad and the Battle for Moscow two battle are Decisive defeated , especially , I talk Defending Stalingrad, This war is turning point , initially , German annihilate two tank group army , soviet in Stalingrad defense compare to other location is weak , and army in that location consistently defeated , and German dispatch the fourth army group to siege Stalingrad . 

        Due to Germany ’s army , Stalin wanted to win this City Lane Battle , he emergency called military industry could not retreat , kept manufacture military resource , all of supply would transport to battlefront line , in this period , Stalin talked a very famous quote :『Never take a step back』 , I think this quotes provide frontline solider spirit influence .however, Germany took most of Stalingrad area , but for German , they could not control final soviet area .By the way , I must talked this battle casualty rate is second only to the Siege of Leningrad in world war 2 , very deadly . 

        Winter coming , German did not prepare winter resource , at this moment , soviet launch Operation Uranus , this operation breakthrough the German defense , German is surrounded by soviet army , and Germany winter’s supplement and Unternehmen Wintergewitte all are defeated by soviet . 

        Winter influence is very important , German did not prepare for winter , so many combat is delay and defeat , and hitter also delay attack plan , so when Germany was surrounded by soviet in Stalingrad , winter will colder than German ever meet before , so many solider freezing , starving , disease spreading , this lead to Germany causality rise shark , tank can not move because snow , finally , German in Stalingrad all were captured . 

        This victory is turn point about soviet , and in detail , soviet get strategic leadership change hands to the soviet , and this is also German ’s large scale defeat in world war 2 , and it is also made the possibility of German victory on the eastern front disappear completely , and later soviet can launch Operation Saturn , countered attack the German ,recovery Caucasus , German no longer have any Opportunities to take control oil . 

        Analysis strategical level ,I must say , German didn’t t need to dispatch the fourth armor group , because , at the same time , German was siege Caucasus ’s oil , and this location very need the fourth armor group , if they all dispatch to oil field , they had high chance to take oil field , but German didn’t they missed the opportunity. 

        They thought took Stalingrad have spirit symbol , this had to mention, Hitler very eager to take this location , ya , he want to Destroy Stalin spirit , and decrease soviet moral ,but some general provided some suggestions , attack that location is not a wise choice , but Hitler brain was taken control by his proud , so he still wanted to attack , and we all understand result , German overestimated his power too . 

        Back to the topic , why assault Stalingrad is not a very wise choice ? Because this area is close to central , soviet easier to transport reinforcement and supplements to this area , this is why I say attack old field is more easier and German also can get more resource .Capture Stalingrad all is spirit symbol , and first , Stalingrad is not very important , but ,German start to dispatch force , soviet aware of German ‘ target and motivation , soviet can very quickly transport troop , this lead to. Stalingrad more and more important , and German lose his multiple strategic advantage , his all action became single target , and all attack was frontal consumption war , you know German resource was limited , and far away homeland , this area is for soviet , soviet can easier win the frontal consumption war , this is soviet advantage , and at this moment , soviet industry was kept manufacturing , solider is increasing ,so result you know , soviet can win this battle. 

2. Battle of Smolensk 

        Soviet army stubborn resistance and it make the back line could gain more time to prepare well . In German side , due to bad terrain , German couldn’t encircle soviet very well , so it let soviet can escape lots of army , this action also violated soviet upper circle , as a result , three generals were executed .In soviet side, this action left some basic army to counter attack for the future ,but this battle lost still shake the south side of soviet system , produced chaos . 

 3.Battle of Kiev 

        This campaign is German in order to take control Ukraine , Ukraine this place manufacture agriculture , so this place can provide German food supply . This battle , soviet costed so much army , in this direction prep team was annihilate , six group army was enclosure . In history , Battle of Kiev is the most large scale annexation war . German though , if they win this battle , they could finish soviet army all in one ,and attacked Moscow in directly . As far as battle of Kiev of encirclement warfare be concerned , this battle is masterpiece , so many soldiers was captured .Kiev this campaign win , German could achieve to attack the Moscow . But have to mentioned , winter influence and bad road these two factors blocked the German , slowed down the German attacking process .Change to soviet side ,due to this battle , soviet gradually awaked , their army not keep defensing , similar to German , they started attacking , and also some city was recaptured by soviet too . 

        In German side , Battle of Kiev these campaign make high circle inject a Doping , and keep positive thinking , they even didn’t concern separating army , and wanted to attack Moscow in winter , at the same time , this problem is more complex and lose concentrated meaning , they can not resist victory luring . 

 4. Battle of KUSK 

         This war also have important meaning too , German due to this war , their tank was become consumption , their industry couldn’t afford their lose , tank numbers had decreased , elite tank also eliminated a lot , although new type tank had putting in warfare ex tiger , but still cannot change the situation , In addition, after this battle , soviet gain tactical initiative , German become passive beating . Battle of Acropolis , symbol soviet air force had come , soviet air forces retaken control air Initiative .

 5.Lend-Lease Program 

          This supplement provide funds ,resource , weapon to soviet , and compensation some soviet military lose , like tanks weapon airplane bullets….. ,because in the beginning , soviet weapon was not enough , many infantry couldn’t own the weapon , many infantry share a gun , And in war beginning , soviet lose 70% industry produce capability , but due to supplement , soviet industry boost again , industry can produce a lots of industrial product , and Foreshadowing for the future U.S.-Soviet Cold War. This also have some spirit meaning , this show the UK and others country wanted to defeat the German ‘ determination ,the UK and the USA release some barrier , shaking some Neutral country cooperate altitude . Still al lots of information I can talk , but I think is enough , we can know country to country interaction by war , war can change country to country strength comparison , and boost    technology , and also change country relationship or trade , but I focus on war process influence , I read this information , I think war is too brutal , we never want to meet it , hope this world peace.
